"It's a bird... It's a plane... It's superman!"

Death and Reign of Supermen - two series from the 1990s that can hardly be considered groundbreaking.
Finally, DC decided to kill off its icon.

The dramatic battle with Doomsday, scenes from Superman's funeral, and the emergence of four "new Supermen" eager to continue his legacy. Waiting for the next issue of the comic and the opportunity to discover the entire story now could probably be compared to waiting for the next episode of "Stranger Things" or "Fallout."

I highly recommend checking out these two series, which had a huge impact and certainly left a mark on the entire subsequent DC universe.

Now let's see what other readers think about "Death and the Reign of Supermen", because for many of them these stories are unique and important chapters in the DC universe:

"

A dynamic sequel to "The Death of Superman." Cyborg and Superboy bring freshness, and the Kryptonian origin storyline keeps you hooked until the very end.

A brilliantly drawn DC classic. Jurgens and Grummet deliver thrills, action, and a solid mythology—a must-read for fans of the Man of Steel.

"

An interesting concept with multiple contenders for Superman's mantle. Superboy and his escape from Cadmus are the most intriguing, though not all storylines are equally developed.
